Description
For operators of solar energy systems or other technical installations, vegetation in the immediate vicinity of system components is undesirable. This is because solar collectors and PV modules must be kept free of plants and shading to maximise the energy yield. This is where Plantex® Platinium Solar comes into use: a special version of the high-performance weed fleece Plantex® Platinium with outstanding UV resistance. Plantex® Platinium Solar has an inconspicuous dark green colour and does not need to be covered after installation. Plantex® Platinium Solar not only offers enormous tensile strength, but also high tear resistance and no fraying of the fibres. Thanks to its long-lasting UV resistance, it is the ideal solution when it comes to containing and controlling weeds in the vicinity of solar energy installations. Thanks to this highly effective fleece, there is no need to use toxic herbicides and the water and air permeability of Plantex® Platinium Solar also maintains the health, stability and drainage capacity of the soil.
