Description
Dicentra spectabilis "Bleeding Heart" has drooping, heart shaped rose flowers that bloom on plants with dark green foliage. Great cut flower for some drama. Can be ephemeral so best planted with other perennials that will take over after bloom in the heat of summer. Blooms: May - June Light: part shade Soil: well drained, moist and rich garden soil Spacing: 24" Height at maturity: 24 - 26" Zones: 2 - 9 Pro tip: benefits from shearing after flowering.
