Fagus sylvatica 'Purple Fountain', otherwise known as the "Purple Fountain Beech", is an interesting tree which has an overall upright shape, but with lateral branches that cascade down to the ground, giving it an elegant and interesting look. The glossy greenish -purple leaves take on a lovely bronze color during the fall season. Bloom: summer Light: full sun Soil: fertile, moist, well drained, regular garden soil Watering: regularly. once established watering can be reduced Spacing: 15' Height at maturity: 25' Pruning: regular pruning is not necessary.
