Description
Sage is a short-lived perennial herb with strongly flavoured foliage. It is a common addition in many dishes and can be used fresh or dried. Harvest your sage as needed throughout the growing season, but do not remove more than 1/3 of the foliage at a time. This ensures the plant has enough energy to keep growing. Sage grows best in full sun with average, well-drained soil. Sage is somewhat drought-tolerant, but grows better with regular moisture. Consider adding organic matter to your garden to improve drainage and soil fertility.
