Description
Redarling produces high yields of purple-red sprouts with a delicious, mild taste. Great for adding an ornamental touch to the vegetable garden. Brussels Sprouts mature from the bottom of the plant to the top. Once your bottom sprouts reach around 1" in diameter, they can be harvested. Removing old, yellow leaves so the plant focuses its energy on growing the sprouts. Brussels Sprouts are a cool-season crop and perform best in spring and fall, before the temperatures begin to rise. They prefer to grow in full sun with fertile, consistently moist, well-drained soil. Consider adding organic matter to your soil to improve fertility and drainage.
