Our Kokedama Kit contains everything you need to make your very own Kokedama at home, perfect for those with the DIY spirit. Kokedama is a traditional bonsai discipline in which the roots of a plant are bound into a spherical form with moss and clay. The Japanese word, Kokedama, translates to "moss ball," and the practice originated in Japan around the year 1600. Kokedama, sometimes called "string gardens," are easy to care for and thrive indoors. To display, suspend or set in a shallow dish. The possibilities for creative display are endless, and they're great for small spaces. When complete, the moss ball will have a diameter of about 4-5". Our Jungle Cactus Cork Mounts feature tropical epiphytic cactus specimens, mounted to cork with sphagnum moss and fitted with a copper loop for easy hanging on the wall. Moosehorn ferns are a gorgeous, lesser-known cousin of the staghorn fern. Unlike any other plant in our collection, the round fronds of the Moosehorn Fern extend into an antler-shaped canopy. These ferns are botanical wonders that are truly living works of art. PLANT CARE • Light : Bright, indirect light • Water : When moss at base of plant feels barely moist, place plant under faucet and run the tap so water flows on the board, behind the plant, for about 3-5 minutes • Considerations : Moosehorn Ferns prefer warm temperatures, high humidity and good air circulation. Reduce watering during winter - black spots on central frond indicates over-watering. Oldest fronds will naturally die off, and make way for new frond growth. Also known as Wax Plants due to their semi-succulent foliage and sweet, porcelain flowers, Hoyas are an absolute favorite amongst our staff.
