Description
Tara Labs built the RSC line around one specific argument: round conductors are the wrong geometry for audio signal. Skin effect pushes current toward the outer surface of round wire, and the thicker the conductor, the worse the phase and frequency coherence at the edges of the audio band. RSC — Rectangular Solid Core — solves this by flattening the conductor geometry, maximizing surface area relative to cross-section and keeping current distribution consistent across the frequency range. The Prime 1800 applies that approach at a real-world price point: solid rectangular conductors, air-tube insulation to minimize dielectric interaction, and a jacket designed to limit mechanical resonance and RFI coupling. This is a 10-foot single run configured spade to biwire — one set of spades at the amplifier end, fanning to two sets at the speaker end to drive separate high and low frequency binding posts. True biwire, not a jumper workaround.
