Vikes
ID: #693300
Description
Few can resist the temptation of Vikes’ enticing falls - impossible to ignore. Lavender rims meld smoothly with the encircling ¾” wide orchid rings which in turn blend into luxurious and spellbindingly dark, velvety centers. Time to take a breath! Eyelash veining astride the whitish yellow beard, gives a wink. As our photo shows, lavish ruffling continues in the white standards, highlighted a paler primrose yellow on the midribs and edging. Vikes is fragrant and produces 9 to 12 flowers per stem. Our first 22 years were spent in Minnesota. We named our impressive seedling ZZ396-1 Vikes, after Minnesota’s professional football team, the Vikings. Our Vikes colors are also purple and gold. The difference is, ours are on display for weeks, not just a few hours on Sunday.
