Applegate features striking petals and sepals in yellow-orange (RHS 20B) with a vivid violet-purple eye (RHS 80A), complemented by a cream yellow throat and a distinctive three-eighths inch marbled yellow and purple edge. This tetraploid variety produces two branches and up to 15 buds, each bloom measuring 5.5 inches in diameter. Its diurnal bloom habit and semi-evergreen foliage make it a resilient and visually captivating addition to any garden. Developed from the seedling S865N ( Cosmic Collision x Janet and Bill), Appleg ate offers both botanical interest and reliable performance.
