Description
This is the only proven black veined variant of the yellow pitcher plant! It seems as though the pitchers really need to mature for a good 2 months after opening before the dark colors set in. The veins on the body can turn black as well, but since we have ours packed closely together, the body is not getting as much direct sunlight and is therefore, not turning black. Unlike many other S. flava var. ornata variants, the black veined variant offered has crystal clear veining, as though they were carefully painted on by an artist. Producing this plant has taken more than a decade in the works, and we are proud to finally be able to offer this plant to you for the very first time! Plants available are medium-small in size, and are well established with a strong, healthy root system. They are all hardened off to outdoor/full sun conditions.
