Description
We're excited to introduce another exclusive seed-grown species from our in-house breeding program. Nepenthes maxima "Watutau Dwarf" is an uncommon form of the highly variable N. maxima species. The plant remains quite small, but grows with all the robustness and vigor of regular-sized N. maxima . We expect these specimens to make exceptional indoor/windowsill plants, and to bring their owners a lot of joy! The pitchers of Nepenthes Wandering Wizard are very consistent, with diminutive size, bright red stripes and speckles, wide wings, and yellow peristomes with red striping. The leaves are somewhat furry, and have a beautiful reddish hue under bright light. The female parent was imported directly from Borneo Exotics (BE-3319) in 2011. The male parent was acquired from private collection, and labeled as "N. maxima Miniature." This plant will be shipped in a moss plug with a 3" plastic pot and enough top-quality New Zealand long-fiber sphagnum moss to fill it. Planting and growing instructions will also be included.
