Cercis canadensis Uniquely double-petaled flowers are borne in dense, pendulous clusters along bare branches in early spring. This hybrid of double-flowered C. canadensis ‘Flame’ and C. texensis ‘Oklahoma’ was developed at North Carolina State University by Dr. Dennis Werner.
