Description

In Stock A Unique Tool with Surprising Versatility The Universal Gauge (UG-1) is one of the handiest protractors and layout tools we have ever designed and is made for makers who have limited space and those who understand the value of their time. It is perfect for setting or checking angles on table saw blades, jointer fences, band saw blades, drill press tables and much more. Try Square There are two 90-degree references within the functionality of the UG-1, one fixed and one utilizing the protractor arm. Accuracy of the fixed square is plus or minus 0.05mm(0.002”) over the length of the 90mm(3.5”) leg. Protractor Utilizing a laser etched 45-degree quadrant, (0. 5° graduations, and it is easy to visually reference a quarter of a degree), and a 144. 5mm (5-5/8") long protractor leg, the UG-1 is a quick and fast protractor to transfer the angle precisely. Adjustable Reference Leg Featuring an offset which serves two purposes: Allows the 2mm (0.079”) thin blade edge to fit between the teeth of a circular saw blade. By chucking a drill rod blank in the drill press, you have two surfaces on the arm to help precisely set the drill press table to either square or any angle up to 45 degrees. It features quick reference icons for the common angles needed to make polyangular forms. For those who make hand cut dovetails, it is easy and fast to quickly set the protractor arm to either 6:1 or 8:1 ratios using the quick set icons as a reference. Direct Reading Bevel The UG-1 is an effective layout tool. The blade sits flat on your work piece which allows for precise transfers of angularity between the tool to your stock. It features a two-point locking system. And the locking lever facilitates those with hand strength constraints. Depth Gauge The depth gauge function of the UG-1 will measure depths in cavities as small as 1/4” (6mm) in diameter and up. Depth capacity is 76mm (3”). Use this to determine the depth of mortises, dados, rabbets, holes and other assorted recesses. It is fast, and locks via a jammed dovetail slide. It is particularly useful in conjunction with measuring depths when cut by a router. In addition, this is the tool to use when you need to precisely offset a split fence on a router table or shaper. Height Gauge Often overlooked as a valuable shop aid, a good height gauge can save a lot of time. It is primarily used as a static way to set the height of circular saw blades, JMP blades, router bits and shaper cutters. It positively locks via a jammed dovetail slide. Marking Gauge The marking gauge on the UG-1 is a quick way to layout lines a specific distance from the hook reference. It is not as efficient, or as versatile as a stand-alone marking gauge but works well for tenon layout and other smaller scale applications where parallel lines of a known distance are required. Simply set the red indicator at the desired distance and mark along the bottom edge of the indicator. Inch/Metric Comparison Tool The marking gauge of the UG-1 features opposing scales, one imperial, one metric. Sooner than you think possible, you will learn that 25mm is about an inch, 12mm is about ½” and so on. Centering Rule The UG-1 can be used to quickly fInd dead center of stock up to 140mm (5.5”) in width. The scale is metric which is ideal for a centering rule, all you need to do is align the two same numbers on the right and left of the stock, and rule will indicate center at the 0 mark. Flip Standoff When you need to lay the Universal Ga u ge on a flat surface, flip the standoff downward and slide the red marking ga u ge assembly to the top of the tool and lock. This will keep the Universal Ga u ge from tipping. The Magnetic Base There are times where a magnetic base is ideal when you need both hands for other tasks.

JMPv2 Jointmaker Pro v2

JMPv2 Jointmaker Pro v2

$929.00

In Stock What is the Jointmaker Pro? The Jointmaker Pro is nothing more than an adjustable back saw in a frame. Rather than the blade moving forward and backward as is typical with every handsaw in the world, it is held in place and the stock, rigidly attached to linear tables, is moved over the top of the blade. The angle of attack is adjustable based upon either the thickness of the material, the width of the material or the hardness of the material, or any combination of the three. What makes the Jointmaker Pro so unusual is that it is a handsaw that is cutting from the bottom up. PRECISION CUTTING Blade with high quality As the core part, the high quality of the blade is the guarantee of cutting performance. If you were to take the blade and put it in a hand saw, it would work just like a dozuki crosscut pull saw. The blade is one of the finest crosscut saws made on this planet, it is patented and each tooth has four separate grinds with 28 teeth per inch (Crosscut A). Multiple blade types for choice There are four types of blades, Crosscut A (standard part) is the most commonly used blade, whose kerf is as small as 0.4 mm, and will satisfy most cutting requirement. Crosscut B (optional part), is best for the soft woods; Crosscut C (optional part) is a little wider than Crosscut A, this blade was designed for fret wire, but it is also used for cutting dense woods; Rip Blade (optional part) gives an incredible finish when ripping your stock, it can be used for dovetails making. NYLON GEAR The gears are nylon. This is a perfect application for nylon gears. There is no backlash and it is a low-load and low-rpm mechanism. SLIDING STRUCTURE MOVES SMOOTHLY The JMPv2 uses cylindrical guide and linear bearing system (sealed bearing), the accuracy of parallelism of all the parts is high. The system needs no adjustment or lubrication (assembled in factory). The operation is easy with lttle noise, which ensures the smooth cutting experience. Table sliding parallel with blade The parallelism accuracy of the sliding direction of the table, the blade and the guide rail is very high. The straightness accuracy of the cylindrical guide rail is within 0.025 mm. This parallelism accuracy can complete the fine cutting of the miniature stock. A clean and tidy cut can be obtained by this sliding system. Even if you put a small piece of paper by the side of blade on the table, then pushing the fence forward and back, you cannot find any gap between the paper and blade at all. Silent linear bearing, the cutting can be operated by one hand Linear sealed acetyl bearings provide a sliding process with low friction, which avoids the clogging caused by dust getting into bearings. The noise is smaller than power tools. The cutting can be completed by one-hand operation. SIMPLE ADJUSTMENT OF BLADE HEIGHT, ANGLE AND TILTING The blade height and pitch can be easily adjusted via the keel assembly The adjustment mechanism of the keel assembly features gears with minimal backlash, which can not only ensure smooth rotation, but also the accurate setting of the blade height and pitch. The blade can be freely tilted via a trunnion assembly The blade can be tilted via a trunnion assembly up to 45° by left or right side. The four included stops can set the tilt angle quickly for repeat cutting. THE WOODEN FENCE AND JAWS The Fences and Trap Jaws are made of Poplar. The trap jaws can be used to hold the wood stock against fence quickly for cutting accurately. They are consumable items and replacements are available to order or you can make your own. SPECIAL PROCESSING WITH SELECT MATERIAL Anodized aluminium sliding table The sliding tables are made from anodized aluminium, which makes them not only have good anti-friction and high hardness but also the exquisite appearance of matte finishing. High-hardness cylindrical guide bar The cylindrical guide is made of 40Cr steel which is T235 hardened and tempered . After chroming, the surface of the guide bar is bright, good-looking, rust proof and hard. Japanese high quality blade The Blade Teeth are processed with a high-frequency heat treatment, so that they have high hardness and excellent cutting performance, allowing them to achieve fine cutting on various soft and hard wood. APPLICATIONS The Jointmaker Pro v2 is ideal for: ● Box Makers ● Environmentally concerned woodworkers ● Musical Instrument Makers ● Professional Woodworkers ● Architectural Model Makers ● Special Effects Studios ● Toy Makers ● Picture Framers Schools ● Furniture Makers ● Artists ● Parquetry ● Hobbyists ● Model Railroad Set Builders ● Doll house makers ● Model Makers.... THE ONLY LIMIT IS ONE'S IMAGINATION!

PC-PF Pivot Clamp for JMPv2 Precision Fence

PC-PF Pivot Clamp for JMPv2 Precision Fence

$49.00

Precision Fence Pivot Clamp HOW IMPORTANT IS WORK HOLDING? It is the most important aspect for repeatable results. Because the saw is cutting from the bottom up, you are fighting negative feed-this is the tendency of the board to move upward resisting the cut. This upward tendency needs to be completely eliminated with proper work holding. It is particularly critical when the blade is tilted. If the stock move upward while the blade is tilted, you will almost always jam your stock on the blade, which is not good. DESCRIPTION Use this pivoting hold-down clamp to secure work to the table surface of your JMPv2. Tightening the knob applies pressure to both clamp pads, simultaneously locking both the work and the clamp into position. The pivoting action and swiveling clamp pads provides the flexibility to hold a variety of workpieces- even non-flat pieces -in a wide range of positions. lts MBx 130 hex head bolt slips through a table slot and can be positioned anywhere along the slot. MATERIAL QUALITY It is made of anodized aluminum, so that it is of high strength, wear resistance and rust-proof.
