HP-12 Dual Angle Bench Plane
ID: #689801
Description
In Stock Breaking Tradition with Amazing Versatilty! The HP-12 Dual Angle Bench Plane, designed by John Economaki, is unlike any other smoother past or present in the quality, workmanship, and performance. We believe this dedication to quality and performance will rub off in your work. This lightweight plane is one of the most versatile and usable planes and may be the only bench plane you'll ever need! The Ergonomically Designed Front and Rear Totes The rear tote is investment cast 304 stainless steel with the two interior cavities painted black. Shaped to invoke the illusion of movement. The highly polished curved surfaces add a nice reflective contrast to the colors of the plane components. The variable chamfer at the top of the tote ties in nicely with the graceful chamfers of the plane sides. The angle is perpendicular to the iron edge directing the forward motion of the plane straight at the cutting edge. All metal front and rear totes which fit nicely in both small and large hands. The front tote "mushroom" is turned from aluminum, bead blasted and anodized black. This shape is more hand friendly than the more common "balloon" totes and is threaded into the throat plate allowing for precise adjustment of the mouth. Unique Blade Retention Mechanism Simply pull the sculpted "D" lever and the entire blade retention mechanism swings out of the way to facilitate iron removal. It is fast, fun, the pressure is adjustable, and you have never seen anything like it. There are no free parts - the mechanism is integrated into the body. Iron Adjustment Both cutting depth and cant (iron angle) can be adjusted by the lead screw under the lever easily and precisely. Cutting Depth Adjustment The iron is engaged to the depth adjuster via a pin nut attached to a 0.5mm thread pitch lead screw. One full revolution of the lead screw increases the depth of cut by 0.1mm (0.004"). The lead screw is housed in a split pivot nut turned from solid brass and the result is a backlash free mechanism that is field adjustable by hand. This mechanism is as smooth as butter in use. Iron Cant Adjustment Iron canting can be achieved by shifting the lead screw side to side but in practice this is not as preferable, or as fast, as canting with the fingers through the sides of the plane body. Dual Ground lrons The robust irons (0.225"/5.7 mm thick) are a full two inches wide (50.8 mm) and hardened to Rc 60-62 from A2 tool steel. They are lapped to a mirror finish--no flattening required. The HP-12 Dual Angle Bench Plane comes with two irons with four unique purposes. The available grinds eliminate the need for multiple planes. This plane, with these attack angle choices, may be the only bench plane you will ever use or need. The attack angle of 42 degrees is used for low angle work. The attack angle of 47 degrees is used for standard work. The attack angle of 60 degrees is used for woods you like to swear at. Lastly, there is a scrub iron grind. It is included and designed to be used for quick cross grain flattening of wavy or difficult grained stock. Blade Guard When bedded, the non-business edge is protected with an aluminum blade guard which is mandatory when sharpening to avoid injury. The guard attaches to the iron with rare earth magnets. Ability to Add Depth Skids The single distinguishing feature of the HP-12 over any other plane made today is the ability to add depth skids; essentially turning your plane into a 2" thickness planer. The ability to thickness plane to a precise thickness is an incredible benefit for box makers, for making louvers, models, musical instrument makers, inlay strips...tc. The skids feature rounded soles which not only reduce friction but allow you to set them at different depths for creating accurate tapered stock (louvers) without having to sand. Either straight or tapered, you cut until the plane no longer makes a shaving-it is fun and the accuracy is amazing. It is entirely possible, and easy, to make multiple components with a thickness that does not vary more than 0.002" (0.05mm)!

It has an angular accuracy of ±0.04° and is just the tool for squaring the inside of boxes and drawers during assembly. Small size and easy to carry The Mini Miter Square measures 2”x2”x1/4”((51x51x6.5mm)), making it convenient to carry around with you in your pocket and handy for your projects. Adjustable sliding foot makes measuring easy The Mini Miter Square has an adjustable sliding foot, which is connected to the base with 3 magnets and can be set for right or left handed marking in layout work. The square is ideal for checking squareness in confined spaces by placing the edge of the foot against the workpiece allowing for easy measurement or marking. Miter angles can be checked in both directions by flushing the square up the edges of the stock using the foot. Finely ground and anodized aircraft grade aluminum alloy The pocket square is made of aircraft grade aluminum alloy. After precision grinding, the surface is anodized. The foot is made of high quality steel, which has high hardness, anti-friction and rust-proof performance. The surface also has a matte finishing. Accuracy The measuring clearance is less than 0.03mm.

JMPv2 Jointmaker Pro v2
$929.00
In Stock What is the Jointmaker Pro? The Jointmaker Pro is nothing more than an adjustable back saw in a frame. Rather than the blade moving forward and backward as is typical with every handsaw in the world, it is held in place and the stock, rigidly attached to linear tables, is moved over the top of the blade. The angle of attack is adjustable based upon either the thickness of the material, the width of the material or the hardness of the material, or any combination of the three. What makes the Jointmaker Pro so unusual is that it is a handsaw that is cutting from the bottom up. PRECISION CUTTING Blade with high quality As the core part, the high quality of the blade is the guarantee of cutting performance. If you were to take the blade and put it in a hand saw, it would work just like a dozuki crosscut pull saw. The blade is one of the finest crosscut saws made on this planet, it is patented and each tooth has four separate grinds with 28 teeth per inch (Crosscut A). Multiple blade types for choice There are four types of blades, Crosscut A (standard part) is the most commonly used blade, whose kerf is as small as 0.4 mm, and will satisfy most cutting requirement. Crosscut B (optional part), is best for the soft woods; Crosscut C (optional part) is a little wider than Crosscut A, this blade was designed for fret wire, but it is also used for cutting dense woods; Rip Blade (optional part) gives an incredible finish when ripping your stock, it can be used for dovetails making. NYLON GEAR The gears are nylon. This is a perfect application for nylon gears. There is no backlash and it is a low-load and low-rpm mechanism. SLIDING STRUCTURE MOVES SMOOTHLY The JMPv2 uses cylindrical guide and linear bearing system (sealed bearing), the accuracy of parallelism of all the parts is high. The system needs no adjustment or lubrication (assembled in factory). The operation is easy with lttle noise, which ensures the smooth cutting experience. Table sliding parallel with blade The parallelism accuracy of the sliding direction of the table, the blade and the guide rail is very high. The straightness accuracy of the cylindrical guide rail is within 0.025 mm. This parallelism accuracy can complete the fine cutting of the miniature stock. A clean and tidy cut can be obtained by this sliding system. Even if you put a small piece of paper by the side of blade on the table, then pushing the fence forward and back, you cannot find any gap between the paper and blade at all. Silent linear bearing, the cutting can be operated by one hand Linear sealed acetyl bearings provide a sliding process with low friction, which avoids the clogging caused by dust getting into bearings. The noise is smaller than power tools. The cutting can be completed by one-hand operation. SIMPLE ADJUSTMENT OF BLADE HEIGHT, ANGLE AND TILTING The blade height and pitch can be easily adjusted via the keel assembly The adjustment mechanism of the keel assembly features gears with minimal backlash, which can not only ensure smooth rotation, but also the accurate setting of the blade height and pitch. The blade can be freely tilted via a trunnion assembly The blade can be tilted via a trunnion assembly up to 45° by left or right side. The four included stops can set the tilt angle quickly for repeat cutting. THE WOODEN FENCE AND JAWS The Fences and Trap Jaws are made of Poplar. The trap jaws can be used to hold the wood stock against fence quickly for cutting accurately. They are consumable items and replacements are available to order or you can make your own. SPECIAL PROCESSING WITH SELECT MATERIAL Anodized aluminium sliding table The sliding tables are made from anodized aluminium, which makes them not only have good anti-friction and high hardness but also the exquisite appearance of matte finishing. High-hardness cylindrical guide bar The cylindrical guide is made of 40Cr steel which is T235 hardened and tempered . After chroming, the surface of the guide bar is bright, good-looking, rust proof and hard. Japanese high quality blade The Blade Teeth are processed with a high-frequency heat treatment, so that they have high hardness and excellent cutting performance, allowing them to achieve fine cutting on various soft and hard wood. APPLICATIONS The Jointmaker Pro v2 is ideal for: ● Box Makers ● Environmentally concerned woodworkers ● Musical Instrument Makers ● Professional Woodworkers ● Architectural Model Makers ● Special Effects Studios ● Toy Makers ● Picture Framers Schools ● Furniture Makers ● Artists ● Parquetry ● Hobbyists ● Model Railroad Set Builders ● Doll house makers ● Model Makers.... THE ONLY LIMIT IS ONE'S IMAGINATION!

SD-JMP Stand for JMPv2
$179.00
Ergonomic Design In the workshop, human is united with machines. While pushing the sliding table, the operator have to bend the waist causing much core fatigue. To avoid the core fatigue, we designed this stand on the basis of ergonomics. Tilting Design The stand provides an approx. 7.7° for the table to adapt to the push of the arm. This ergonomical tilting design can save energy while the arms easily completing the cutting in the extension zone. Adjustable Height The height of stand is suggested being adjusted as same high as the hips, which can comfort the shoulder and arm while operating. Ergonomically, the shoulder can be relaxed naturally by above suggested adjustment, which may make long work sessions more comfortable. Material Quality The Stand is made of 14 gauge steel that is powder coated, which is wear resistant, anti-corrosion and of high hardness.

PC-PF Pivot Clamp for JMPv2 Precision Fence
$49.00
Precision Fence Pivot Clamp HOW IMPORTANT IS WORK HOLDING? It is the most important aspect for repeatable results. Because the saw is cutting from the bottom up, you are fighting negative feed-this is the tendency of the board to move upward resisting the cut. This upward tendency needs to be completely eliminated with proper work holding. It is particularly critical when the blade is tilted. If the stock move upward while the blade is tilted, you will almost always jam your stock on the blade, which is not good. DESCRIPTION Use this pivoting hold-down clamp to secure work to the table surface of your JMPv2. Tightening the knob applies pressure to both clamp pads, simultaneously locking both the work and the clamp into position. The pivoting action and swiveling clamp pads provides the flexibility to hold a variety of workpieces- even non-flat pieces -in a wide range of positions. lts MBx 130 hex head bolt slips through a table slot and can be positioned anywhere along the slot. MATERIAL QUALITY It is made of anodized aluminum, so that it is of high strength, wear resistance and rust-proof.
