Aerangis luteo-alba v. rhodosticta
ID: #692930
Description
Aerangis luteo-alba var. rhodosticta is a miniature epiphytic orchid native to tropical Africa, found from Cameroon to Kenya and Tanzania. It has a compact, fan-like growth habit with a few narrow, leathery leaves and produces graceful, pendulous spikes of crystalline white flowers. Each bloom features a long nectar spur and a distinctive bright red-orange column , which gives the variety its name (“rhodosticta” means red-marked). This elegant species thrives in warm to intermediate, humid conditions with bright, filtered light and good air movement. Its delicate, night-fragrant flowers and contrasting red centers make it one of the most striking and beloved African Aerangis orchids among collectors. 🌿 Care Guide Light: Bright, filtered light similar to that for Phalaenopsis orchids—avoid harsh midday sun. East-facing windows or shaded south exposures are ideal. Leaves should be medium green, not dark or yellowish. Temperature: Warm to intermediate conditions: Day: 22–28 °C (72–82 °F) Night: 16–20 °C (60–68 °F) Avoid temperatures below 13 °C (55 °F). Humidity & Airflow: High humidity (60–80%) is essential, with constant gentle air movement to prevent fungal problems. In dry homes, use a humidity tray or humidifier. Watering: Keep evenly moist but never soggy. Do not allow roots to dry completely for long periods. Mounted plants: Mist daily or water 3–5 times per week. Potted plants: Water every 3–4 days, allowing slight drying between waterings. Use rain, distilled, or reverse-osmosis water if possible.

Kiwi Bark
$4.00
Kiwi bark's chunky texture makes for an excellent soil amendment! Kiwi bark has a slower decomposition rate and is less likely to rot compared to other wood. Because of this, large pieces such as these can help increase drainage and make soil not compact as much over time. It can also be used as a potting medium on it's own for some epiphytic species such as most orchids! 2 quart bag can roughly fill one and a half 6" diameter nursery pots. 1 quart bag can roughly fill one and a half 4" diameter nursery pots. All soil amendments ship in a biodegradable bag

Perlite
$4.00
Perlite is the most commonly used additive for increasing soil drainage. It is volcanic glass that forms when glass literally pops like popcorn under super-heated temperatures. It is extremely light and porous! It works wonders on species like Begonias that like a fluffy, quickly draining soil mixture. This perlite in particular is an extra fine grade! 2 quart bag can roughly fill one and a half 6" diameter nursery pots. 1 quart bag can roughly fill one and a half 4" diameter nursery pots. All soil amendments ship in a biodegradable bag

Philodendron hederaceum
$12.00
Philodendron hederaceum is known for its versatility and durability in a variety of different spaces. With the proper care, it can be a fast growing during the spring and summer making it perfect for hanging baskets! The baskets are especially cute due to the heart shaped foliage. Care: We recommend weekly waterings typically as the soil is 1"-2" dry for this size. This will also do best in a bright filtered light. Although this is sold often as a low light plant, our definition of low light is what the plant needs to survive. A source of natural light somewhere in the room will keep this plant sustained and thriving. Usually we say if you can read a book in the room without the light on during the day it's usually enough light for this one. All of our plants are ethically sourced from certified U.S. nurseries. We strongly condemn the poaching of plants or wild collection.
