Rhipsalis paradoxa is a unique and striking species of cactus, belonging to the Rhipsalis genus, which is known for its epiphytic growth habit and distinctive, often delicate appearance. Native to the tropical and subtropical regions of Central and South America, particularly in areas like Brazil, Rhipsalis paradoxa is a sought-after plant due to its trailing stems and unique, ornamental look. Unlike typical cacti, Rhipsalis paradoxa is soft and non-spiny, making it a much more approachable and visually interesting plant for collectors and home gardeners alike. One of the most notable features of Rhipsalis paradoxa is its long, slender, and pendulous stems, which can grow up to 3 feet (90 cm) in length. The stems are typically light green and have a slightly flattened, segmented appearance, adding texture and a sense of movement to the plant. These trailing stems give the plant a cascading or draping effect, making it ideal for hanging baskets, containers, or as a decorative trailing plant in the home. The plant's flowers are small, white, and star-shaped, emerging from the segments along the stems. These delicate flowers typically bloom in clusters, creating a soft, understated display when in full bloom. After flowering, Rhipsalis paradoxa produces small, berry-like fruits that add to its ornamental value. As an epiphytic cactus, Rhipsalis paradoxa grows naturally on trees and rocks in its native habitat, where it thrives in bright, indirect light and high humidity. It prefers warm temperatures, typically between 65°F and 80°F (18°C to 27°C), and does well in environments with consistent moisture, though it should be allowed to dry out slightly between waterings to avoid rot. It is also relatively drought-tolerant due to its cactus heritage, but it does not require the extreme dryness that many other cacti need. Philodendron hederaceum

Philodendron hederaceum is known for its versatility and durability in a variety of different spaces. With the proper care, it can be a fast growing during the spring and summer making it perfect for hanging baskets! The baskets are especially cute due to the heart shaped foliage. Care: We recommend weekly waterings typically as the soil is 1"-2" dry for this size. This will also do best in a bright filtered light. Although this is sold often as a low light plant, our definition of low light is what the plant needs to survive. A source of natural light somewhere in the room will keep this plant sustained and thriving. Usually we say if you can read a book in the room without the light on during the day it's usually enough light for this one. All of our plants are ethically sourced from certified U.S. nurseries.
