Anthurium 'Rainbow Champion'

Anthurium 'Rainbow Champion'

ID: #695970

Description

Another recently created Anthurium cultivar we are all screaming over! The Rainbow Champion's emerging leaves start growing with a deep vibrant red color and harden off to a dark green. The blooms will be bright pink! Care Anthuriums like this one will be happiest in a bright indirect light. If living in a lower light setting it may not produce flowers in the spring and summer. When repotting, use a semi-coarse potting medium that will drain water well. Water when the top 2-3" of soil is dry, which may roughly be every 7-10 days depending on your home environment. All of our plants are ethically sourced from certified U.S. nurseries. We strongly condemn the poaching of plants or wild collection.

Kiwi Bark

Kiwi Bark

$4.00

Kiwi bark's chunky texture makes for an excellent soil amendment! Kiwi bark has a slower decomposition rate and is less likely to rot compared to other wood. Because of this, large pieces such as these can help increase drainage and make soil not compact as much over time. It can also be used as a potting medium on it's own for some epiphytic species such as most orchids! 2 quart bag can roughly fill one and a half 6" diameter nursery pots. 1 quart bag can roughly fill one and a half 4" diameter nursery pots. All soil amendments ship in a biodegradable bag

Perlite

Perlite

$4.00

Perlite is the most commonly used additive for increasing soil drainage. It is volcanic glass that forms when glass literally pops like popcorn under super-heated temperatures. It is extremely light and porous! It works wonders on species like Begonias that like a fluffy, quickly draining soil mixture. This perlite in particular is an extra fine grade! 2 quart bag can roughly fill one and a half 6" diameter nursery pots. 1 quart bag can roughly fill one and a half 4" diameter nursery pots. Philodendron hederaceum

Philodendron hederaceum

$12.00

Philodendron hederaceum is known for its versatility and durability in a variety of different spaces. With the proper care, it can be a fast growing during the spring and summer making it perfect for hanging baskets! The baskets are especially cute due to the heart shaped foliage. Care: We recommend weekly waterings typically as the soil is 1"-2" dry for this size. This will also do best in a bright filtered light. Although this is sold often as a low light plant, our definition of low light is what the plant needs to survive. A source of natural light somewhere in the room will keep this plant sustained and thriving. Usually we say if you can read a book in the room without the light on during the day it's usually enough light for this one. All of our plants are ethically sourced from certified U.S. nurseries. We strongly condemn the poaching of plants or wild collection.

Terra-cotta Cylinder Planter

Terra-cotta Cylinder Planter

$15.00

These are our favorite simple pots. We aren't the biggest fan of those plain old terra-cotta planters but these light peachy clay body makes for a modern look to traditional terra-cotta. We are suckers for the cylinder shape. Size options reflects the widths of the opening on the inside. Saucers are sold separately. These are only available for our local Portland residents or people choosing pickup at our Portland shop.
