A splendid antique fireplace summer cover set, dating from the early 1900s and ornamented with figural details. The central panel features a beautifully rendered figural composition of two children at a water pump, accompanied by a dog, set against a finely textured basketweave background. The scene evokes a sense of rural nostalgia and Victorian-era storytelling, adding both warmth and visual interest. Surrounding the panel is an ornate frame adorned with classical motifs and decorative flourishes, all crisply cast and well preserved. This summer cover set is in very good antique condition, as pictured. The outer frame measures 25-3/4″ wide, 30-1/4″ tall, and is 2-1/4″ deep. The insert measures 20″ wide, 18″ tall, and is 1-1/2″ deep; the base bumper measures 24-1/4″ wide, 8″ tall, and projects 3-1/2″.
