An elegant working thumb-latch set for an exterior door in Corbin’s “Montgomery” pattern, dating from the 1930’s. This “New Old Stock” door hardware set consists of a large exterior handle with a thumb latch, an interior brass knob and rosette, thumb turn, lock cylinder escutcheon, mortise lock, and striker; the cast bronze handle features a distinctive design on the top and bottom. The simplicity of this set lends it to work with a variety of styles; it is in excellent antique condition. The larger handle measures 11-1/4” tall, 2-1/8” wide with a 2-1/2″ projection and the interior knob is 2″ in diameter with a 1-7/8″ projection; the mortise faceplate measures 7-3/8″ tall by 1″ wide and the body is 5-1/4″ tall by 3-1/4″ deep with a 2-1/2″ backset.
