Antique “Arcola” Complete Entry Door Hardware Set by Barrows, c. 1900

Description
A stunning antique exterior door hardware set in Barrows’ “Arcola” pattern, dating c. 1900. Featuring a fantastic Neoclassical design, the backplates have an elegant curved shape with acanthus, scrolls, beading, and a husk border. The doorknobs feature a crisply detailed flower in the center, surrounded by swirling acanthus leaves and a bead-and-reel border. The split-system lock is in very good antique condition; the mortise lock has a crack (pictured) which does not effect the function of the lock. The larger doorplate is 11-3/4” by 3-1/4”; the smaller plate is 8-1/4” by 2-3/8”; the larger knob measures 2-1/2” wide with a 2-1/4″ projection, and the smaller knob measures 2-1/4″ wide with a 2-1/8″ projection. The faceplate on the lock is 6-7/8” tall by 1-3/16” wide; the body measures 5″ tall by 3-3/8″ wide, and the back set is 2-3/4″. This hardware set comes with two knobs, the connecting spindle, two door plates, cylinder and a mortise lock.
