Centurion 2K Polyurethane Primer is the water based primer you've been looking for! Now available in black (CW-1907). Centurion 1107 primer is meant for use where extreme chemical and moisture resistance is required. This product requires a 10% (by weight) or a 13.75% (by volume) mix with CW-4002 hardener to provide a fully crosslinked film. This primer can be tinted. If we are doing a custom color match, and you want the primer tinted, we will use a quarter or half of that formula for the primer. The color will not match 100% and this is done on purpose. For dark colors we will tint the primer to a medium gray with 3.5 ounces of black colorant. 3.5 ounces is the maximum amount of recommended colorant for this primer. Centurion 2k polyurethane hardener is an isocyanate based catalyst that provides outstanding scuff, moisture, mar and chemical resistance. This catalyst is intended for use with Centurion 2k coatings, and should be added at a rate of 5%-10% by weight. Amount by volume varies by product. You can find recommended amounts by volume on the product page. Adding the catalyst at 10% by weight for the 2800 topcoat will give you a good balance between cost, pot life, adhesion, and durability. 15% by weight with 2800 is only recommended for table tops or areas where the highest amount of durability, and moisture resistance is needed. Higher amounts of catalyst will raise the viscosity of the product, and can dramatically shorten the pot life. Centurion retardant is a water based additive for primers and topcoats that decreases dry time. Adding retardant results in slower dry times, and a slight viscosity reduction. It is compatible with water based Centurion primers and topcoats. Retardant should be added up to 5% by volume and is ideal if you’re spraying in a low humidity environment. Universal Wood Primer is a quick drying, and low VOC water based primer. CW-1108 primer has high solid content and allows you to build several coats quickly. It also has excellent sanding properties. Once sanded, it can be top coated with any Centurion topcoat, solvent, or water, including 2K products. Available in White (CW-1108), and custom tinted light colors. Custom colors will be 20-50% lighter. We cannot make this primer darker than a medium gray. For bright white colors like Chantilly Lace or Simply White choose white. Natural look is designed for durability and performance, and it can be used for a variety of high-end architectural millwork, cabinetry, wood floor or furniture applications.
